Dump the plastic

Permission is given to share my photo.

Health
I did not do so hot with food today. It is so so very hard. I ate one meal and it was Panda Express Chinese food. I did however have a unsweetened decaf tea. I was sleepy all day and my sleep cycle is taking forever to get back on track today. I did manage to get a little walking doing errands and comparison shopping at the store.

Environment
I am working for awhile tommorrow at the thrift store so hopefully I can get some exercise in there. I am going to take all the plastic water bottles I have to the store to donate and instead I will use and reuse my glass bottles that my current favorite bottled drinks come in. They are glass and have a top and I can easily clean them.

dump the plastic and in with the glass bottle below.

Question of the day:
What environment or health step should I take next?

What change have you made in your life lately that has made a difference for you?

  1. I'm sure you already know this, but a lot of people think eating less often (like eating one meal a day) will help them lose weight. It actually does the opposite. When you eat only one meal a day your metabolism slows way down. It's healthier to eat more often, but eat smaller portions. For example, eat three small meals a day, but eat healthy snacks (like fruits or veggies) in between meals. It is harder to do that, though, especially when you're busy with work, school, or other life things you can't always take a break from. I usually eat 2-3 meals a day (like I said in a past comment, I have problems eating breakfast), and at least one snack.

That strawberry lemonade looks delicious! I might have to try it some time.

For something environmental and healthy: My fiance and I used to always buy bottled water. Our tap water is kind of gross and we preferred the cold bottled water that was more convenient. But we quickly noticed how many bottles we went through. Then my fiance found a water purifier that we can keep in the fridge! All we have to do is fill it up every so often, and it purifies the water and sits in the cold. Now I use a refillable water bottle and keep it in the fridge, and I can easily bring it to work with me, to make sure I drink plenty of water.

  2. I think it is great the change you made with the water. I do that also. I like using the glass because I can clean it and I hate all the plastic out there that can not be recycled really and does not break down.
Thanks for the advice on the eating. I have a hard time with breakfast too--feel sick. I usually do eat more than one meal but, my sleep schedule had been way off and have had some IBS problems. I love your comments. Good information thanks.

    1. Yeah I think that is a good idea!

The sleep schedule can always be an issue. Getting back on track should help with both the eating and the IBS. But I know first hand how hard it is to get back on a sleep schedule once you've deviated from it! Ahhh!
